Adams had spent years moving money around for criminal gangs while purporting to be working on modelling assignments

Ex-male model and former Dublin Airport policeman Mark Adams who was jailed for 20 months yesterday was working for a shadowy gangland banker, the Sunday World can reveal.

Adams (42), from Malahide, had been caught with more than €180,000 after he was stopped at Belfast International Airport before boarding a flight to Alicante in May 2018.

Border Force officials discovered the money in two folders in his hand luggage that had been disguised to look like they contained legally privileged documentation.

Adams had initially claimed he was going to a wedding, but later checks by NCA investigators showed he was booked on a return flight just 80 minutes after he was due to touch down in Spain.

Adams, who had formally left his police job in February 2017 after a two-year career break, had taken nearly 500 flights into or out of the UK in the preceding five years, often returning shortly after landing at his destination, further inquiries revealed.

Having pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing, a judge at Antrim Crown Court yesterday sentenced him on May 5 to 20 months in prison.

The Sunday World previously revealed how Adams was recruited to work for the well-known money launderer who has been on the Garda radar for decades and who is suspected of operating a banking system for criminal gangs, transferring drug cash in and out of the country and advising crooks on how to wash and move their dirty money.

Gardai believe that Adams was working for the wealthy old timer, who lives with his wife in a respectable Dublin suburb and claims to have made his money through investments in pubs and textiles.

A Garda investigation found that Adams only earned €4,000 for seven modelling jobs over a five-year period from 2007.

Between January 2012 and March 2017 they traced €604,400 cash lodgements to three accounts held by him. In 2015, he was caught at Dublin Airport as he attempted to board a flight to Belgium with €582,045 in his luggage.

Over the previous year, while on a career break from his job with airport police, he had booked a staggering 253 flights with airlines but made no comment about the money when asked about the source of it.

Adams had spent years moving money around for criminal gangs while purporting to be working on modelling assignments. He enjoyed countless sun holidays and even posed for pictures looking tanned and relaxed, despite later claiming that he was forced into couriering money because of a debt he owed.

In January of this year, Adams told a court in Northern Ireland that he was “under pressure from more sinister elements” when he was nabbed with the €180,000 of criminal cash in Belfast International Airport in 2018.

A European Arrest Warrant was issued when he was initially released on bail after his arrest but failed to return.

Irish authorities charged him with four counts of money laundering, including one which saw him accused of trying to smuggle €500,000 out of Dublin Airport in 2015.

He was later sentenced to five years in prison by an Irish court.

While he was still serving his sentence, he was transported by the gardai to the border just south of Newry where he was picked up by NCA officers in In August 2021.

He was then taken to Antrim Magistrates to be charged for the offence he had committed in Northern Ireland.

His defence counsel Eugene McKenna had said there were significant addictions to gambling and drugs that led to him getting into significant debt “that he was obliged to address by acting as a courier under pressure from more sinister elements."

Despite his claims that he was a victim of crime, gardaí believe Adams lived the high life while travelling the world transporting drug money.

The father of one gave up his job in airport police so he could jet set across Europe, often taking lengthy holidays and staying in top hotels.

Adams searched for love and fame when he appeared on a RTE dating show and even tried to get on Big Brother. In 2010, the Malahide-native had a starring role in the TV series One Night Stand.

He was among a group of bachelors lined up to meet a trio of former Rose of Tralee beauties.

"I don't know what to expect but I hope the girls won't be too cruel," he said back in 2010. "I suppose it's too late to back out now. I think it's a bit of a laugh and I'm single so I might as well try."

In court Adams portrayed his life as anything but glamorous, claiming he was dependent on drugs.

When asked about the cash in his luggage in Dublin he told Sunday World: "If I tell you I am a dead man, even if I don't tell you I am a dead man anyway."

Commenting on the case, NCA Belfast Branch Commander David Cunningham said: “Mark Adams was clearly a serial money launderer on both sides of the Irish border, and as a former policeman he would have been well aware that what he was doing was wrong.

“Working with our Irish colleagues we were able to spot a pattern of him regularly traveling out of airports in both the Republic and UK, and returning home shortly afterwards.”

He said the sheer amount of flights taken by Adams indicated that he may have been responsible for laundering many millions of criminal money.

“Working with our law enforcement colleagues on both sides of the border we are determined to do all we can to disrupt the flow of illicit cash, and prevent organised criminals laundering their profits,” he said.

Darren Brabon, Interim Assistant Director for Northern Ireland Border Force Command said: “Clamping down on the export of undeclared cash from the UK is vital in our fight against organised criminal gangs.

“The sentence handed down to Adams today is the result of hard work and dedication from Border Force, the NCA and our partners in the Republic of Ireland to tackle dirty money.

“Those involved can be proud of their work and particularly those officers that intercepted and stopped Adams in his tracks.”

Ray Mickelberg at Fremantle Prison, describing the area where his finger was bitten off completely.

The person who was the first person to be accused by former Detective Don Hancock of being the mastermind behind the Perth Mint Swindle, before the Mickelberg Brothers were arrested for the Perth Mont Swindle, personally witnessed Ray Mickelberg's finger being bitten off by FRemantle Prison prisoner Gary Smith, in the 2 Division Yard of Fremantle Prison The witness of the loss of Ray Mickelberg's finger was serving a three year prison sentence on a false trumped up fraud charges, having being framed and set up by now retired Superintendent Roald Leslie Carey, who Mr White, a fellow Fremantle Prisoner, stated was one of the most powerful corrupt police officers in Western Australia in the 1980's, who was in the same corruption and power level as former Detective Roger Rogerson.

All is revealed in the new book being published and film being made called

The Dark Secrets in the History of Perth, Western Australia (The Untold Story).

Prisoner Gary Smith, who was speaking to the witness of the loss of Ray Mickelberg's finger  the week before Ray Mickelberg's finder was bitten off, stated that Gary Smith was due to do to court that week for over 30 breaking an entering charges. Gary Smith was never charged for biting off Ray Mickelberg's finger  and  flushing the end of Ray Mickelberg's finger down the toilet.  It is understood that Gary Smith's reward  payment for doing the favour for Detective Don Hancock, was that  Detective Don Hancock arranged for Gary Smith to receive probation for his over 30 breaking and entering charges, instead of a long prison sentence, which Gary Smith should have received for such charges.

The Perth Mint Swindle is the popular name for the robbery of 49 gold bars weighing 68 kg from the Perth Mint in Western Australia on 22 June, 1982. The bullion was valued at A$653,000 at that time (2011:$2.02 million). As of 8 January 2018, the value of the 68 kilograms of gold would approach AUD $3.7 Million.

According to police at the time, three brothers, Ray, Peter and Brian Mickelberg, orchestrated the robbery. The three went to trial and were found guilty of the conspiracy and sentenced in 1983 to twenty, sixteen and twelve years in jail respectively.

All three convictions were overturned in 2004. To date the case remains unsolved and continues to be fought by the Mickelbergs who maintain their innocence and allege a conspiracy by the Western Australia Police to frame them.

Note: Some Information on the Perth Mint Swindle not mentioned in Wikipedia

The Late and former Detective-Sergeant Don Hancock, who was later promoted to head of the State Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB)
came around to a person's apartment in Perth ( before the police tried to frame the Mickelbergs) at 6 am a few days after the 22nd June, 1982 with two car loads of detectives, to search this person's house and take him away to try and frame him for the Perth Mint Swindle. Because it seemed that it would be too difficult to frame this person for the Perth Mint Swindle, the WA Police headed by Late and former Detective-Sergeant Don Hancock, decided that the Mickelberg brothers were easier to frame for the Perth Mint Swindle, for a number of reasons. The full story is being published in a new book called..
The Dark Secrets in the History of Perth, Western Australia (The Untold Story).

Mickelberg Brothers

Soon after the robbery police investigations focused on the Mickelberg brothers. According to the police, the brothers stole cheques from a Perth building society and then fooled the mint into accepting those cheques in exchange for gold bullion which, it was alleged, the brothers had a courier pick up.  The gold was picked up by a security company who delivered it to an office in Perth and then to Jandakot Airport, from where it seemingly disappeared.

In a separate matter, in September 1982, the three brothers, their parents and another man Brian Pozzi were charged over a matter relating to a manufactured gold nugget known as the "Yellow Rose of Texas". Perth Businessman Alan Bond had purchased the nugget for $350,000 in November 1980. It was later found to be worth less than $150,000 and Raymond Mickelberg and Brian Pozzi pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to fraud at their June 1984 trial.

After serving nine months of his jail term and having his conviction overturned on appeal, Brian was released from jail but died in a light aircraft crash on 27 February 1986, when the twin-engined Aero Commander he was flying ran out of fuel near Canning Dam on the outskirts of Perth. Whilst in prison, Ray and Peter embarked on a series of seven appeals against their convictions, essentially on the grounds that their confessions had been fabricated by police investigators. Ray and Peter served eight and six years of their sentences respectively before being released on parole.

In 1989, 55 kg of gold pellets, said to have been from the swindle, were found outside the gates of TVW-7 (currently Channel Seven Perth), a Perth television station, with an anonymous note addressed to one of the station's reporters—Alison Fan—protesting the Mickelberg's innocence and claiming that a prominent Perth businessman was behind the swindle

Police Officers

Don Hancock

The senior investigating officer in the case was Detective-Sergeant Don Hancock who was later promoted to head of the State Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB). Hancock and a friend, Lou Lewis, died in a bomb explosion outside Hancock's home in Lathlain in September 2001. Hancock was murdered by Gypsy Joker Sid Reid in revenge for the murder of Billy Grierson, allegedly by Hancock after Grierson "made obscene comments in front of his daughter." A subsequent (2003) prosecution of an alleged accomplice was unsuccessful.

At the 2006 inquest into the October 2000 shooting death Billy Grierson, the coroner stated: "There is a significant body of evidence which suggests Mr Hancock may have been the shooter," but the Gypsy Jokers "could have a large number of enemies." he was unable to determine who Grierson's killer was because Hancock was now dead, police had failed to conduct routine forensic science tests and had failed to search Hancock's home. The relevant senior investigating officer was Kim Gage, head of Kalgoorlie detectives, who had reportedly spent the day drinking with Hancock and others. Reid was convicted of the murder and sentenced to life in jail which was reduced to 15 years for helping police in the failed second prosecution.

Tony Lewandowski

In 2002, midway through a State Royal Commission into police corruption, a retired police officer, Tony Lewandowski, who had been at the centre of the case, made a confession of his involvement in fabricating evidence which was used to help frame the brothers. Lewandowski's senior officer during the investigation was Don Hancock. The two were the only people present at the brothers' interviews following the Mickelberg arrests.

"(On that day), Don Hancock came into the room and told me to make Peter strip naked. Don then went up to Peter and gave him two or three quick punches in the solar plexus. The statements purportedly taken from Peter Mickelberg on July 26, 1982, were in fact not taken in Peter's presence that day, but were a fabrication made by Don Hancock and myself shortly after September 2, 1982. I gave evidence at the trial and numerous appeals. All that evidence in relation to the so-called confessions was false." —Statement of Tony Lewandowski

Lewandowski was subsequently charged with attempting to pervert the course of justicemaking false statements, fabricating evidence and perjury.  In May 2004, just before facing trial, Lewandowski apparently committed suicide,  but there has been some speculation as to whether or not that may have been staged to cover his murder.  Although now dead, Lewandowski's confession directly implicated Hancock in fabricating evidence in the Mickelberg case.

Convictions Quashed

In July 2004 the Western Australian Court of Criminal Appeal quashed the brothers' convictions after seven unsuccessful attempts. The judge ruled that with the suppression of their sentence, they were entitled to a presumption of innocence. The Assistant Police Commissioner, Mel Hay, expressed disappointment with the decision which prompted a threat of a defamation lawsuit from the brothers. The brothers subsequently sued the Western Australian government for libel, and as part of the settlement, the West Australian police issued a public apology in December 2007.[10]

After lodging claims for compensation, in January 2008 State Attorney-General Jim McGinty offered $500,000 in ex-gratia payments to each brother for the "injustice done to them".  The payment followed $658,672 paid to cover legal costs of their two appeals. The Mickelbergs' lawyer had asked for $950,000 in compensation for Ray and $750,000 for Peter.

Books on the Case

Author Avon Lovell wrote a book about the case in 1985: The Mickelberg Stitch, which alleged questionable investigation practices by the police, including production of unsigned confessions and a forged fingerprint.  The police union collected a levy of $1 per week from each member to fund legal action against Lovell and his publishers and distributors to suppress publication of the book. It was estimated that between one and two million dollars was raised. The book was banned by the State Government, but was still freely available to be read at the J S Battye Library. The ban was eventually lifted.

A second book by Lovell, Split Image, was published in 1990  and met a similar fate to the first. This ban was also lifted later.

In March 2011, Lovell launched a third book on the case, Litany of Lies,  at about the same time that Antonio Buti wrote on the subject.

Police Reveal Details Of The Underbelly Killings Of Police Informer Terry Hobson And His Wife (2015) Four Corners

The  Life and Death of Sally-Anne Huckstep

The life and death of Sallie-Anne Huckstepp

THE Sydney prostitute thought going public about crooked cops involved in killing her partner would protect her. She was wrong.

SALLIE-Anne Huckstepp was a Sydney prostitute who bravely, and perhaps naively, blew the whistle on crooked cops — but it was a move that ultimately cost her life.

Huckstepp, 26, was found floating in Sydney’s Busby Pond, Centennial Park, on February 7, 1986 by a man walking his dog.

No one has ever been convicted of her murder despite it resulting in one of the longest running inquests of its kind in Australia, from 1987 to 1991.

But many believe they know who was responsible — former NSW detective Roger Rogerson, who was convicted over the murder of Jamie Gao yesterday, and former underworld kingpin Arthur “Neddy” Smith, who is serving two life sentences for another two murders but was acquitted of murdering Huckstepp.

In the early-mid 1980s, Rogerson was considered a star in the New South Wales police force and was earmarked as a potential future police commissioner. Smith, a violent gangster, was not yet as well-known or notorious as he would go on to be.

At the time of her death, Huckstepp had become a threat to Rogerson and Smith as she sought to make public the corrupt relationship between the pair, which was not yet widely known.

The former heroin addict was the girlfriend of heroin dealer Warren Lanfranchi, who worked with Smith, and was shot dead by Rogerson in Chippendale in 1981.

Rogerson claimed self-defence and was eventually given a bravery award.

Huckstepp maintained Lafranchi had been murdered and she became a police informant.

Forty-nine days after Lanfranchi was shot, Huckstepp, her father Jack Krivoshow and a lawyer walked in to police headquarters on College St and detailed a string of allegations against NSW police — including verballing, bribery and the cold blooded execution of her boyfriend.

Huckstepp sought refuge and protection by pursuing the matter in the media.

She believed going public with the information would offer her protection from those who already knew she knew too much. It would be harder to hurt her and get away with it if the world knew who was after her and why.

She appeared in a sensational TV interview on 60 Minutes and made bombshell allegations about the corrupt relationship between Rogerson and Smith.

Huckstepp said Lanfranchi was meeting Rogerson to pay off $10,000 when he was shot. She said he’d left his gun at home and was unarmed.

Rogerson denied the allegations but a seed had been planted and suspicions grew.

In the years that followed, Huckstepp continued to publicly state on television and in courts that Lanfranchi had been murdered, until she was silenced for good.

On February 6, 1986 a person, who identified himself as Warren, called Huckstepp just before 11pm and asked her to meet him.

The next day she was found dead.

Sallie-Anne Huckstepp was found murdered in Centennial Park, on February 7, 1986.

There appeared to be no attempt by the killer(s) to hide Huckstepp’s body which was found floating in a shallow pond in the heart of Sydney’s Centennial Park.

In a letter written in the weeks before her death, Huckstepp asked her estranged husband to look after the couple’s daughter “if things somehow go wrong”.

A drug associate of Huckstepp’s, who claimed to have met her on February 6, said she had been concerned about a looming meeting with “Wazza”, her heroin supplier Warren Richards, and “Rogerson”.

It was revealed days after her murder that Huckstepp had been strangled to death.

Years later Smith confessed to the murder when he told a cell mate he had strangled Huckstepp and held her underwater.

His confession was caught on secret police tapes and resulted in Huckstepp’s body being exhumed from Rookwood Cemetery for DNA testing.

Smith was charged with Huckstepp’s murder, eventually tried and acquitted.

Rogerson had an alibi — he was drinking at a club in Merrylands with police prosecutor Mal Spence — but it’s widely believed he ordered Neddy to kill Huckstepp. Richards and other police officers were also persons of interest earlier in the investigation.

“You can bet your bottom dollar Roger and Neddy were behind her murder,” a police officer has said, The Daily Telegraph reported.

Sallie Anne’s daughter Sascha Huckstepp was just 12 years old when her mother was murdered.

She told 60 Minutes in an episode aired this week that Rogerson “shattered” her life.

“He stole my mother from me, he stole my adolescence. I see somebody who thought he had his own green light to do whatever he wanted to do and behave however he wanted to behave and damned be anybody who got in his way,” Sascha said.

“I believe that Rogerson had had enough, that he said that she had to go.

“He wanted her dead, he was being groomed for bigger and greater things and I think that was a big part of his anger and resentment towards my mother.”

Huckstepp believes Rogerson went to his “go-to man, his green light boy” Neddy Smith.

Even as a 12-year-old, Huckstepp didn’t believe initial suggestions her mother had died of a heroin overdose.

“She lived 10 minutes away (from the park). She wouldn’t be using drugs in a dark park sitting in blackness. There’s no need,” she said. “My first thought was Rogerson. Because I knew she had completely shattered his world and his career.”

She added: “There’s a small bone in the back of your throat called a hyoid bone, and that had been sort of crushed or fractured. It had been displaced, which indicates strangulation.”

Decades later, Rogerson finally found himself in a case he couldn’t dodge. On Wednesday, he and Glen McNamara were found guilty of murdering 20-year-old university student Jamie Gao.

And Sascha Huckstepp was just one person happy to see him fall.

“I thought, ‘Well they finally got him.’ You can’t worm out of that — there’s CCTV footage. Three people go in two people come out. You can’t deny that.”

He asked her to ring triple zero and begged her to take their two little girls to the bedroom and to stay there no matter what.

Even though his vision was blurred by blood, Michael Drury says he can still remember his wife's face.

"You know what happened at the house that night; I'll never forget it, you know, and the look on my wife's face - what she saw was terrible," he said.

"All I wanted to do was give my little girls a kiss and a cuddle to stop them from crying before I went to hospital because I didn't know whether I'd ever see them again."

It was 6.10pm on June 6, 1984, when Drury was shot twice through his kitchen window.

When the undercover drug squad officer woke from a coma about 12 days later, it did not take him long to figure out who he believed was behind his attempted murder.

There was no doubt in his mind that another policeman was involved - Roger Rogerson.

After one of the highest profile court cases in Sydney's history, Rogerson was acquitted.

About 30 years later, it took Drury's breath away when he learnt that Rogerson had been charged with another serious crime - the murder of Gao, a university student.

"Never in my wildest expectation would I have ever believed that a police officer would have been involved in that type of conspiracy - it was beyond belief for me. For everyone," Drury told Fairfax Media in an exclusive interview while the Jamie Gao trial was under way.

In 1989, Rogerson was charged with conspiring with two criminals - Chris "Rent-a Kill" Flannery and Alan Williams - to murder Drury.

After one of the highest profile court cases in Sydney's history, Rogerson was acquitted.

About 30 years later, it took Drury's breath away when he learnt that Rogerson had been charged with another serious crime - the murder of Gao, a university student.

On Wednesday, a jury found Rogerson, 75, and his co-accused Glen McNamara, 57, guilty of the 20-year-old's murder and stealing the 2.78 kilograms of ice he had brought to sell them.

Towards the end of the trial, Drury spoke about the sadness that the case had dredged up for him.

"What saddens me greatly is that there is not one ounce of remorse that's been shown by Rogerson or McNamara for what they did to that boy," he said. "Not one ounce of remorse.

"It's the absence of the remorse that I really find so sad.

"What they did to that boy, it really is so disturbing, so disturbing."

Despite believing Rogerson orchestrated his attempted murder, Drury says he feels sorry for him and his family.

"No one in this world could hurt Roger Rogerson as much as Roger Rogerson has hurt himself," he said.

"There was a man who had the world at his feet with his vocation and he destroyed it all."

Reflecting on his own case, Drury talks about why he believed Rogerson was at the heart of his attempted assassination.

"I always gave Rogerson the benefit of the doubt in the early hours but, as time went on, and I'm talking about two days or three, it became so sinister and so true in my mind that he was totally involved," he said.

Drury was on what he thought was his deathbed when he told fellow police officers that he believed he had been shot because of the "Melbourne Job".

He had been working undercover on an operation targeting heroin supply, which was partly conducted in Victoria.

His work resulted in charges being laid against Willliams, a drug kingpin.

Williams would later testify in the NSW Supreme Court that he attempted to bribe Drury through Rogerson to get his charges dropped.

Williams claimed that, when the repeated attempts at bribery were unsuccessful, he agreed to pay Flannery and Rogerson $50,000 each to kill Drury.

"I knew 100 per cent it was the Melbourne Job," Drury said.

"I knew that Rogerson knew Alan Williams, because he had fronted me about me trying to throw my evidence and I said, 'No, I rejected him.' "

When Williams went before the NSW Supreme Court more than 25 years ago, the indictment that was read to him said he "conspired with Christopher Flannery and Roger Rogerson to murder Michael Drury".

Upon hearing this, Williams informed the court that he was guilty of the charge - which carries a maximum sentence of life in prison.

It's late on a Thursday night and Drury sips on a coffee, and talks again about how sad he feels, reading about Rogerson's involvement in Gao's death.

"I find this an amazingly interesting case because I don't believe Roger Rogerson joined the cops as a bad person," Drury said.

"I give him credit and say he must have been a decent young man. But what went wrong and where did it go wrong to go from one extreme to the other

Arthur 'Neddy' Smith: the dirty detective

ARTHUR Smith was born in 1944 and grew into a major criminal, involved particularly in armed robbery, heroin trafficking and murder.

He became a Sydney celebrity because of his close relationship during the 1980s with controversial detective Roger Rogerson. It was the type of relationship that had often flourished before. Smith, like other successful criminals, survived by being a regular police informer. But in this case it attracted considerable publicity because the media and other institutions had started to take a keen interest in corruption.

A number of books and the acclaimed television drama series Blue Murder have been based on Smith, Rogerson and people they associated with, making this the most richly, if unevenly, documented period of organised crime in Sydney.

Smith was a big and very aggressive man and, in the mid 1970s, after serving time for rape and committing a number of armed robberies, he worked as a standover man for Murray Riley, who represented Australia in rowing at the 1952 and 1956 Olympics, winning a bronze medal in 1956. He became a distributor for heroin imported by Riley's syndicate, later setting up on his own with William Sinclair and Warren Fellows. Soon, he has claimed, he employed 10 dealers in Sydney's eastern suburbs and was turning over millions of dollars a year. His house in St Peters was turned into a fortress, with 2.5 metre walls, security doors and windows, and closed circuit television.

The most notorious point in the relationship with Rogerson occurred on June 27, 1981. Smith took a young heroin dealer, Warren Lanfranchi, to a meeting with Rogerson in Dangar Place, in inner city Chippendale, telling Lanfranchi he guaranteed his safety. Smith had met Lanfranchi in jail and the two had become friends. The reason Rogerson was so keen on a meeting that day, and why Lanfranchi felt obliged to attend, is still the subject of debate. One theory is that the violent Lanfranchi had been causing too much trouble: he had ripped off a heroin dealer who was under police protection and, on another occasion, pointed a gun at a police officer. According to this theory – denied by police – Lanfranchi hoped to make his peace with Rogerson, possibly through payment of a bribe.

On the day of his death, Lanfranchi was wearing a body shirt and tight trousers. Smith had made sure he did not wear a coat so it would be clear to police he was unarmed.

At the meeting, Rogerson shot Lanfranchi dead, later claiming this was done in self-defence because Lanfranchi had drawn a pistol.

The killing attracted considerable attention. The jury at the coronial inquest declined to say Rogerson had acted in self-defence. This was despite the fact the 18 police in the area when Lanfranchi was killed all supported Rogerson's version of events. Not one has ever suggested publicly there was anything amiss in their colleague's action, or implausible in the idea that Lanfranchi managed to smuggle a gun past Smith and then draw it against the well-armed detectives.

For years after the shooting, Lanfranchi's girlfriend, prostitute and heroin addict Sallie-Anne Huckstepp, claimed he had been murdered.

In 1986, Huckstepp, who had been making allegations about the corrupt relationship between Rogerson and Smith (which was not yet widely known), drowned in a shallow pond in Centennial Park. Smith was charged with her murder but acquitted. The case remains unsolved.

Smith later claimed that Rogerson and colleagues, as a reward for bringing Lanfranchi to the meeting in 1981, gave him a “green light” to commit crime. Police deny this.

In the mid-'80s Smith lost his regular source of supply and turned to armed robberies again, specialising in payrolls and making more than half a million dollars. He fell out with Rogerson, who was under pressure because of the relationship. In April 1986, he announced on television that Smith was a police informer. The next night, Smith was run down by a car in Waterloo.

Meanwhile, Rogerson was having his own problems. In June 1984, detective Michael Drury was shot through the window of his home. On what he thought was his deathbed, he claimed Rogerson had tried to bribe him to change the evidence he had been due to give at the drug trial of criminal Alan Williams. Drury had refused the offer and it later emerged that hitman Christopher Flannery had been hired to kill him, but he managed to survive.

Rogerson – who provided an alibi for Flannery at the time of the shooting – was charged with involvement in the attempted murder. He was dismissed from the police force for other reasons in 1986 and later acquitted of the murder charge.

One day in October 1987, Smith had a big drinking session with a group of people, including Rogerson. Towards evening, Smith and friend Glen Flack headed off alone and were involved in a collision with a tow truck. In the ensuing argument, Smith stabbed tow truck passenger Ronald Flavell, who died. The investigation stumbled when there was a break-in at the local police station and relevant documents were stolen but, in 1990, Smith was sentenced to life in prison for the murder.

In 1994 he boasted to a cellmate about having killed many people. The claims were secretly taped. Smith was charged with seven murders and tried for two – Sallie-Anne Huckstepp and brothel keeper Harvey Jones. He was acquitted of the former (as we have seen) and convicted and given a second life sentence for the latter. Smith is still alive and in prison, where Parkinson's diseases has confined him to a wheelchair for much of the time.

In his autobiography, Neddy, he wrote: “There has always been crime and corruption within the NSW police force but nothing like it was [in the 1980s] . . . I could never have committed any of the major crimes I did, and got away with them, without the assistance of the NSW police force. They were the best police force that money could buy – believe me, because I bought them hundreds of times.”

Rogerson returned to court several times, being convicted of involvement in drug dealing, which was overturned on appeal, and convicted and jailed on two occasions, once for perverting the course of justice in regard to using bank accounts in a false name, and once for lying to the Police Integrity Commission.

Nicola Gobbo -Melbourne Defence Lawyer Who Informed On Clients For The Police

Nicola Gobbo explains why she became Lawyer X and informed for police

By Josie Taylor and Rachael Brown for Trace: The Informer
Nicola Gobbo, known as Lawyer X, wearing a leopard print top stares out a window
Nicola Gobbo has gone into hiding in an unknown location

As Nicola Gobbo made the frantic dash to a morning court appearance in August 2005, she had no idea she was about to upend her entire life and turn the justice system on its head.

"I can vividly remember thinking I just can't keep going, I can't do this anymore," Ms Gobbo told the ABC.

Even before she arrived at the courtroom, she had already crossed an ethical line.

That morning she had called a Victoria Police detective and confessed that her infamous client, drug boss Tony Mokbel, was pressuring her to take on that morning's case.

When she arrived at court, the case was postponed.

Instead, Ms Gobbo found detectives standing outside the courtroom. She saw them as a safe haven.

Amid tears, she unleashed her deepest fears and worries on the detectives. She told them her criminal clients were pressuring her to break the law.

The police saw a rare opportunity to infiltrate the underworld but it would mean doing something that had never been done in Australian history: signing up a criminal defence lawyer as an informer.

The events set in motion that day would eventually spark a royal commission into Victoria Police's use of informers and lead to Ms Gobbo living in hiding.

Already, one former client of Ms Gobbo's has been released from prison because a judge ruled her informing constituted a miscarriage of justice. Eight more former clients have appeals pending.

The royal commission heard that more than 1,000 people could be affected by her informing. It heard 124 cases may have been unfairly affected.

The story has been told in TV dramas, tabloid front pages and statements of evidence but it has never been fully told by the woman herself.

While in hiding, Ms Gobbo spent months talking to the ABC podcast Trace: The Informer, to explain for the first time why she fed the secrets of some of the most dangerous and violent criminals in the country to police, while acting as a defence barrister.

More than that, she revealed why — after years of working with the police — she stopped and why the separation has been so acrimonious.

Always an overachiever

In media reports, Ms Gobbo has sometimes been dubbed a "blue blood", which has served the tabloid narrative of a posh, high-flying lawyer who fell from grace.

It is true her uncle, Sir James Gobbo was a Supreme Court Judge and a Governor of Victoria but when Ms Gobbo's grandparents first arrived from Italy, they started out by opening a soup kitchen in Carlton.

Her father took it over at 17 years old and provided for the family.

"Sir James rose to where he did by reason of the hard work of my dad, but my dad never resented him for his success," Ms Gobbo said.

Ms Gobbo jokingly refers to her famous uncle as "Sir Arsehole" because, she claims, he had little to do with his nieces, and was largely estranged from her family.

Sir James declined to comment.

Nicola Gobbo described her childhood far differently to the posh upbringing many have imagined.

When Ms Gobbo was in primary school, her mother was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Nicola recalls her mother vomiting and crying, juggling night shifts at a hospital with fears of leaving her two young daughters behind.

Her mother survived cancer but her father would later develop the same condition and die while Ms Gobbo was in high school.

Nicola Gobbo's father died while she was still in high school

Ms Gobbo's loss of her father at a pivotal age affected her deeply and she said this would leave her with a lifelong craving for a certain type of male attention and approval.

She attended the prestigious Genazzano private girls high school and studied law at Melbourne University, but in Ms Gobbo's telling, these were the product of a fierce work ethic and a "type-A personality" rather than entitlement.

"I do something 150 per cent or don't do it at all," she told the Royal Commission into Management of Police Informants (RCMPI) last year.

Sharehouses, drug busts and Nicola Gobbo's first offer to assist police

The first time Ms Gobbo found herself on the wrong side of the law, she was studying it at Melbourne University.

She was charged with drug possession after a small amount of drugs were found in her room at her Carlton sharehouse. She had no conviction recorded.

It is something her first mentor in the law, Alex Lewenberg, did not worry about when he hired her at the criminal law firm he managed, shortly after she was admitted to practice in 1997.

Nicola Gobbo was described as highly intelligent and articulate by Alex Lewenberg

Mr Lewenberg asked Ms Gobbo if she had told the Board of Examiners, when she applied to practice, which she had.

She had also told the board that she had been the one who tipped off police five days before the raid, having become suspicious about her boyfriend's activities.

"I thought no more about it," Mr Lewenberg later told the royal commission.

What Ms Gobbo did not tell Mr Lewenberg was that $80,000 worth of speed belonging to her boyfriend was found in the raid on her Carlton home. Her boyfriend was charged over the haul.

Later, after the relationship had broken down, she helped police organise an undercover sting to try to get her ex-boyfriend out of the house. The sting never went ahead as police saw the law student as an over-enthusiastic loose cannon.

But by the time she began practising law, she felt like she had found herself a new home at Mr Lewenberg's firm.

"[He] became like a second father to me," she told the ABC.

"There's definitely always been a level of insecurity where I'm concerned because of not having a dad."

Mr Lewenberg thought Ms Gobbo was highly intelligent and articulate but he also wasn't blind to his new charge's activities outside of work.

"About six months into Ms Gobbo's employment, I became concerned that she was socialising with clients of the firm and police," he wrote in his statement to the royal commission.

He warned her to stop and his young employee assured him she was behaving professionally.

But whispers about Ms Gobbo's social life would follow her throughout her legal career. Around Melbourne, she became highly recognisable and began attracting attention.

To Paul Dale, a detective who got close to Ms Gobbo, the lawyer was just plain good company.

"She was extroverted; long blonde hair, low-cut top, big breasts, very short miniskirts, loud, centre of attention," he told the ABC.

Meeting Carl Williams and Tony Mokbel

After about a year, Ms Gobbo left Mr Lewenberg's firm and became one of the youngest women to pass the bar in Victoria.

She started to attract big-name criminal clients like Melbourne gangland bosses Carl Williams and Tony Mokbel, representing them at bail hearings.

Tony Mokbel dressed ina black suit and red tie for a court hearing looks directly at the camera.
Nicola Gobbo was a legal adviser to infamous Melbourne figure Tony Mokbel
"[I was] someone who was just good at unravelling police briefs and pointing out the weaknesses," she said.

"Any high-profile or high-level drug trafficker they arrested either had my phone number in his phone at the time of the arrest or opted to ring me.

"Getting Tony Mokbel bail after two failed attempts and exposing corrupt police assisted in building that reputation," she said.

Others saw her reputation differently.

Former crown prosecutor Geoff Horgan QC handled most of the big murder trials during Melbourne's gangland years and often crossed paths with Ms Gobbo.

"She could be a bit annoying because she would be contesting (an application for) a DNA sample or something like that, you don't expect people seriously going to contest those sorts of applications," he said.

"My impression is that she liked to big note herself; to be the centre of attention."

Horgan 2
Geoff Horgon SC said he thought Nicola Gobbo enjoyed being the centre of attention.

Police investigating Ms Gobbo's gangland clients already believed she had started to cross ethical lines, according to Commander Stuart Bateson's evidence at the royal commission.

"There was a small group of criminal lawyers we believed were part of a criminal enterprise," Commander Bateson told the inquiry.

A gangland taskforce request for surveillance on Nicola Gobbo in 2003, tendered to the royal commission, revealed that police suspected at the time that the barrister was assisting her big-name clients in their drug trafficking activities and providing them with information about other criminals in relation to gangland murders.

Ms Gobbo denies those allegations and told the ABC she did not break the law.

"But a number of police over that period of time made disparaging remarks to my face and behind my back along the lines of, if they could eliminate me they would be happy to do so, presumably because I was so successful at getting people out of custody," she said.

At the height of Melbourne's gangland war, Nicola Gobbo collapsed

As Melbourne's gangland war of the 2000s intensified, the life of an underworld lawyer became a heavier weight to carry.

People were being shot dead in broad daylight, mostly in a tit-for-tat feud to try to seize control over Melbourne's illicit drug trade.

The murderous environment enveloped Ms Gobbo in 2004 after a hitman close to Carl Williams was charged with murder.

Carl Williams on the day of a court hearing, wearing sunglasses on a Melbourne street.
Carl Williams became a client of Nicola Gobbo's as her legal career began to take off.

She told the ABC that Williams' crew didn't want the hitman to turn on Williams but this meant the crew wanted her to find a psychiatrist to rule that the hitman was insane.

"They were actively seeking that I pervert the course of justice and break the law by misrepresenting that accused and by stitching him up in a way that if he ever decided to give evidence, that his evidence would be worthless," she said.

She told the ABC she refused to follow her clients' request.

Ms Gobbo said that at this time Tony Mokbel was profiting by sending associates to her.

She claimed she later found out the drug baron would tell his associates that she charged more than she actually did.

"He was actually making a commission off the people that he was sending to me."

A lawyer for Mokbel, who is in maximum security prison, said his client declined to comment.

These were some of the stressors she was contending with when, in July 2004, Ms Gobbo had a stroke and collapsed at home.

It left her with debilitating pain.

"Pain so bad that I couldn't be bothered socialising; eating hurt and even talking hurt," she said.

"[I was] work obsessed so my level of self-care was zero. Over-achieving again, wanting to be a QC in record time."

Meeting her police handlers

Ms Gobbo had reached a point where she didn't know how to say no to her big-name clients, according to her testimony at the royal commission.

Significantly, she was also worried that police might believe she was on the wrong side of the law herself.

The royal commission has heard she was the target of a surveillance operation by gangland detectives, who suspected she was passing on messages between her clients.

Although it heard these suspicions, they were never proven.

"I was frightened of being put in a position where I would be charged because of exposure to the accused," Ms Gobbo said.

She insists she never did anything unlawful but was worried about the view detectives, who were closely monitoring telephone intercepts of her conversations, might form.tec

So partly to save herself, she started talking to Victoria Police.

After her outburst at the Melbourne Magistrates Court in 2005, the detectives she unloaded on passed her on to a secret police unit, set up to handle informers.

A meeting was set to be at a discreet, highly secretive location but instead Ms Gobbo found herself meeting police at a building adjacent to her client Tony Mokbel's apartment.

"I just thought this is, this is madness! Are these people for real?" Ms Gobbo told the ABC.

But instead of cancelling the meeting, she met two police 'handlers' to discuss becoming an informer.

This crucial relationship began with a lie.

One of the handlers, whom she was trusting with her life, assured her the meeting wasn't being recorded. But it was.

In the secret recording of the meeting played at the royal commission, Ms Gobbo said she was willing to work with police, against her own client Tony Mokbel.

"I'm here because I've had enough … and I don't know the way out," she told police.

"I'm nearly 33, what have I done with my life? I've had a stroke, I get up at six o'clock, go to work by seven, spend all day working, very rarely do I go anywhere or do anything … for what?"

"I know that if I was married or if I had some particular reason to race home every night, I would. But the rate I'm going, I'm gonna end up dead."

She joked with the handlers about needing a couple of bottles of red wine for the conversation, instead of the offered cup of tea.

'The only friends she had were criminals or cops'

Ms Gobbo was still handling her clients and court work, while secretly communicating and meeting with police, passing on huge volumes of information.

Victoria police filed more than 5,000 written reports from her information in four years and in a letter written to senior police in 2015, Ms Gobbo insisted her information helped Victoria police make nearly 400 arrests.

Her main police handler, a man known by the pseudonym Sandy White, came to know her very well.

"She was a very needy person … she didn't seem to have any social life, everything revolved around work," he told the royal commission.

"I do think her whole social needs were provided by serious criminals and then over time that transferred to the source handlers."

Another handler, known at the royal commission as "Officer Fox" said he believed talking to police filled a void in Ms Gobbo's life.

"Her only social circle was with very serious criminals in Victoria and Australia and we were the only ones outside that circle who probably had some kind of moral compass."

Ms Gobbo became increasingly dependent on her handlers, as the level of danger she lived with grew.

"They [handlers] would say I wanted to keep going but they kept moving the goalposts," she told the ABC.

She said she slept less and less, always wanting to be prepared for complicated conversations she was going to have, in her complex double life.

Ms Gobbo fiercely denied ever using illegal drugs with or without her clients.

"For the record, amphetamines and coke were not used as helpers — I still can make it through a night without sleep if I need to with the assistance of caffeine."

The people she was informing on inhabited a world where speaking to police was a death sentence and Ms Gobbo said she was aware of the stakes.

"I'm on multiple recordings saying to Victoria Police: 'If this comes out you will be answering questions at a royal commission and I'll be dead.'

"I used to regularly say: 'You'll have to say nice things at my eulogy, because I won't survive this.'"

She told the ABC that if she did become isolated and dependent on her Victoria police handlers, it was not a lifestyle she chose.

"Victoria Police … actively encouraged me to have no life except for assisting them. And if that meant being out at three o'clock in the morning to meet someone, they were all in favour of that, even at a time when they knew that I was in significant pain and under the care of a pain specialist."

Victoria Police said they would not comment on those allegations until the full royal commission report was released.

"As we have made clear, Victoria Police has absolute respect for the royal commission process and as such we will not be commenting further until the commissioner has had the opportunity to consider all the submissions made and provide her final report."

Nicola Gobbo wears a black dress.
Nicola Gobbo had lost 49 kilograms in the time since she began working with police, according to Sandy White, her former handler

While she doesn't abdicate responsibility for her choices, Ms Gobbo said that her weakness was wanting approval and she claimed Victoria police used this.

"It's almost like they would challenge me, by saying, 'We don't really believe that' or 'Are you sure?'

"Knowing my personality, which is, 'Well if you give me a challenge I'd rise to it', they did manipulate me in that way because they knew me very well."

As the informer/police handler relationship developed, Ms Gobbo started to believe the people she had trusted with her life were using her.

She claimed her key handler, Sandy White, referred her to a psychologist, ostensibly for her wellbeing, but Ms Gobbo claimed the real motivation was that police wanted to find out what she was thinking.

"He said that it was an operational health and welfare issue, and that he needed to satisfy his bosses.

"Fundamentally, the problem was that she [a police psychologist] was reporting back to my handlers."

Sandy White told the royal commission he was genuinely worried about Ms Gobbo. She had lost 49 kilograms since she started working with the police.

"She was under a lot of stress, and that impacted on her physically … at times she would report she couldn't sleep and she was grinding her teeth," he told the royal commission.

Other officers detailed to the royal commission their impressions of how their formerly ebullient informer was declining, mentally and physically.

"Source described herself as clinically depressed and unemployed, advised source to call psych, very quiet, deadly quiet, bored, could not be bothered leaving couch," Officer Green, Informer Contact Report — 22/1/07

The murders that really started it all

By 2009, Ms Gobbo had stopped informing and her relationship with Victoria Police was completely acrimonious.

She was in poor health and claimed she had been forced into being a witness in a murder trial of two men accused of killing a police informer.

The royal commission heard that in 2008, Ms Gobbo wore a recording device to try to gather evidence for police against her former lover, drug squad detective Paul Dale.

Lawyers assisting the royal commission outlined details of the police case in their submissions to the commission which were made public last week. Terence Hodson, a client of Ms Gobbo's, had been about to give evidence against Mr Dale and another detective over a burglary of a drug stash house in 2003.

Before Mr Hodson could testify, the middle-aged carpenter-turned-drug dealer and his wife Christine were found shot dead, execution style, inside their living room in the Melbourne suburb of Kew.

The police case that followed was described at the royal commission as the most significant murder investigation in Victoria's history.

It has taken 16 years for the multiple links between Ms Gobbo and the infamous Hodson case to emerge.

Counsel assisting the commission's submissions said Paul Dale was a police suspect, as were Carl Williams and Tony Mokbel. Submissions said police later dismissed Mokbel from being involved.

Submissions from counsel assisting the royal commission said that in the weeks before the Hodson murders, Ms Gobbo put Paul Dale in touch with her gangland client Williams.

The submissions from counsel assisting the royal commission said that police had a belief Ms Gobbo "may have been [a] conduit between … Williams and Dale re IR [the police information report identifying Hodson as an informer]. Leading to killing of Hodsons".

The submissions said Williams told police Mr Dale asked him to arrange the murder of Mr Hodson, although this was just one of many leads police pursued, none of which were proven.

Mr Dale has categorically denied any involvement in or knowledge of the Hodson murders and claims he was set up. Williams was a proven liar with reasons to make it up, according to Mr Dale.

In a submission to the royal commission, Mr Dale said he had suffered for years "screaming under water" working against "powerful institutions" who sought to hide Ms Gobbo's role as a secret informer.

Did guilt drive Nicola Gobbo to become a police informer?

Through the steady release of never-before-seen documents tendered to the royal commission, including police reports, videos, secretly recorded phone calls, it's emerged police believed the Hodson murders may have been a factor in Ms Gobbo's journey to becoming a police informer.

Police officers have told the royal commission they suspected Ms Gobbo was somehow indirectly involved in the murders of Terrence and Christine Hodson.

In statements to the royal commission, four of the police handlers who worked most closely with Ms Gobbo have speculated she might have felt guilty about the Hodson murders and this might have motivated her to become a police informer.

"It became apparent over time that she had maybe unwittingly assisted with the passing of information, phones and/or documents between parties that ultimately led to the Hodson murders," Officer Fox wrote in his statement.

Sandy White told the royal commission: "Maybe she felt guilty about that [the Hodsons] and felt she had to do some good, it did cross our minds down the track."

Former gangland taskforce head Gavan Ryan told the commissioner in a closed court session: "My hunch is she knew something was going to happen then, that's my hunch, my theory. And she regretted not doing something and decided to roll over."

Police suspicions of Ms Gobbo's guilt were never proven

She became a registered police informer in 2005, one year after the Hodsons were killed.

In submissions from lawyers assisting the royal commission, Ms Gobbo said she had no knowledge of a plan to murder the Hodsons.

But during her evidence, Ms Gobbo admitted her behaviour as a lawyer was inappropriate and improper.

Counsel assisting submissions said that behaviour included acting for almost everyone involved in the drug house burglary, at the same time as she was meeting up with Mr Dale to discuss the case.

"What put me on the path that I ended up on in 2005 [becoming an informer] is because of being so, so far off the right track and out of my depth and out of control in 2004," she told the royal commission.

The two daughters of Terence Hodson, Nikki Komiazyk and Mandy Hodson, met with Ms Gobbo before the 2014 coronial inquest into their parents' death.

She offered to help find them legal representation and introduced them to her former boss, Alex Lewenberg.

Ms Komiazyk said she felt uncomfortable with Ms Gobbo's desire to assist her family from the start and now feels betrayed, as the royal commission has revealed more about Ms Gobbo's behaviour.

"Very much so, yes, because I can't understand why she wanted us to pursue the coroners [inquest] for Mum and Dad … it doesn't make any sense," she said.

After life as a secret police informer, Nicola Gobbo became a regular suburban mum

Nicola Gobbo sued Victoria Police in 2010 for failing to protect her as a witness.

The police agreed to a secret settlement, reportedly almost $3 million.

Then Ms Gobbo disappeared from legal and public life almost entirely and made a life for herself in Bayside, Melbourne.

She had two children in quick succession, a girl and a boy, and threw herself into life as a full-time mother.

She received a Volunteer's award at Government House for her work at a Brighton kindergarten.

But word of her past life was seeping out.

The Herald Sun newspaper ran a series of front-page articles about an unnamed lawyer who was a police informer.

Ms Gobbo's identity was kept secret after a desperate and costly legal fight by Victoria Police and instead she was known only as Lawyer X.

But some in the underworld knew just who that was and she received death threats.

Eventually, five years after the public heard about Lawyer X, the High Court would lift the suppression order on naming her and Ms Gobbo was forced to leave her newfound community.

She said Victoria Police convinced her to leave Australia before the start of the royal commission, for her safety.

Sometime after she fled the country, the ABC made contact with Ms Gobbo and she eventually decided to tell her story.

She told the ABC she was living in fear of corrupt police finding out her location, particularly as she claimed a police officer tipped the Herald Sun off to her informer role.

"Whomever it was who leaked the information to the Herald Sun and Weekly Times in early 2014 is a high-ranking copper who would have to be worried by now. And he could potentially know where I am. I fear that possibility and the stark reality that if something happened to me, nobody would know," she said.

Nicola Gobbo hands over face
Barrister-turned-informer Nicola Gobbo says while she believes her informing saved lives, ultimately it was not worth the cost

She wanted to return to Australia but said police were threatening to take steps to remove her children from her care if she did, as their safety would be at risk due to Ms Gobbo's notoriety.

The ABC has seen an email from Victoria Police stating that "VicPol would notify [authorities] if the client comes back to Australia".

Ms Gobbo said she was stuck in a stateless limbo.

"My life each day when I wake up actually feels surreal. Like a bad movie. Like WTF am I doing in another country with two poor little kids?" she wrote in a text message to the ABC's Josie Taylor.

"I will never come up with sufficient words to express how angry and disgusted and revolted I am by those surly 'we know what's best' bullies."

She was furious at police for, as she put it, leaving her in a foreign country with no support or protection.

She sent the ABC the last text messages police had sent her — the woman the royal commission heard was in the highest category risk of danger.

"I don't know if anyone had previously discussed an Emergency Action Plan with you, it is mostly common sense," police wrote to Ms Gobbo.

"If you are in immediate danger call police on the local emergency response number, being xxx here.

"If you can, get to the nearest police station."

In a statement to the ABC, Victoria Police said it "does not as a matter of necessary practice confirm nor deny the security arrangements in place for any person who might be assessed as 'at risk'. To do so would be counter-productive as it could elevate the risk to that person."

Eventually, an on-camera interview was secured for the 7.30 program. After it was broadcast, the royal commission demanded an explanation. Ms Gobbo was yet to give evidence before the royal commission; yet she was telling her story to the ABC.

She eventually gave evidence herself to the royal commission via video conference. Only the commissioner could see her face.

She remains in an unknown location.

The ABC is no longer in touch with Ms Gobbo but before contact was lost, the former lawyer mused on whether it was all worth it.

"Look where I am, no it wasn't," she said.

"People's lives may have been saved, no doubt people's lives have been saved, but not from my point of view.

"There's nothing good being said about me I don't think, let alone anything that commends or praises me."

The ambitious young woman who wanted to be a Queen's Counsel still cares what people think of her.

As for Victoria Police, she remained bitter about its treatment of her.

"Used, abused and kicked to the curb; not just kicked to the side of the road but run over, reversed the car back and run over again," she said.

The ABC does not know of Nicola Gobbo's current whereabouts.

Western Australia Royal Commission into Police Corruption
CHAPTER 9
OPERATION SOLO
9.1 INTRODUCTION
The first segment of the hearings of the Royal Commission heard evidence that had been obtained by an investigation of the Royal Commission under the name Operation Solo. The investigation was based upon a previous investigation by a joint operation of the Anti-Corruption Commission (“ACC”) and the Internal Affairs Unit (“IAU”) of the Western  Australia Police Service (“WAPS”), which concluded in January 1999. The ACC investigated under the name Operation Norway, and the IAU under the name Operation Echo Papa. The targets of the joint operation were a group of detectives associated with Kalgoorlie. The outcome of the investigation had been inconclusive, and although significant evidence of what appeared to be criminal conduct was obtained, no arrests were made and no charges were laid. However, the Commissioner of Police initiated termination action under s. 8 of the Police Act 1892 for a lack of confidence in some of the officers involved. The termination action was the subject of proceedings in the Industrial Relations Commission.
Those proceedings were unresolved at the time of the Royal Commission hearings, but they were later concluded in favour of the Commissioner of Police.
It was considered appropriate to examine the matter publicly because:
-
Substantial evidence of corrupt conduct had been obtained by the ACC/IAU investigation, but the extent of the incriminating evidence had
not been publicly revealed previously;
-
There were aspects of the evidence of criminal conduct that had been
obtained, which appeared not to have been utilized in the action against
the police officers;
-
Royal Commission investigators were able to expand substantially the
evidence of corruption by the same group of police officers;
-
The existence of the available body of evidence from the ACC/IAU
investigation of corrupt conduct provided a convenient start to the
hearings of the Royal Commission while other investigations were being
developed; and
-
The further evidence gathered through the investigations by the Royal
Commission and the public hearing of the evidence of matters previously
examined by the ACC was a useful test of the benefits of the additional powers available to the Royal Commission.

Common features surrounding the allegations included the use of a network of criminal informants, who supplied information about drug users, the use of public or mobile telephones to arrange drug transactions, attempting to conceal telephone calls through the expedience of pre-paid SIM cards held in false names, and the abuse of information and resources available to the officers, such as personal information stored on WAPS computer databases. Further features were the use of the Police Air-wing Service for private purposes, the misuse of police equipment and the complete lack of any appearance of appropriate supervision.
In the course of their activities, WAPS orders and policies were ignored or abused.
Examples of such misconduct included:
-
 Failing to make proper journal entries;
-
 Failing to submit contact advice reports and to adhere to the Informant Management Manual;
-
 Improper accessing of the WAPS computer system;
-
 The abuse of WAPS procedures regarding mobile telephones;
-
The defiance of policies relating to acceptable conduct of police officers,
such as policies relating to secondary employment and to improper
associations; and
-
The inadequate and incomplete grounding of search warrants.
The officers totally denied all of the allegations of corrupt or criminal conduct, notwithstanding the specificity of the evidence against them. At the conclusion of the segment, the officers were given the opportunity to comment on a draft of this chapter of the Report, but only one chose to respond. The failure of the others reflected the attitude of officers who, whilst compliant with summonses compelling them to attend and give evidence, were apparently indifferent to the allegations of corrupt or criminal conduct made against them, or recognized that they were not able to provide a cogent explanation.

9.2 THE PRACTICE OF “RIPPING” - BRENTWOOD DETECTIVES OFFICE

As indicated, the focus of part of the investigation was the practice known as a “rip” or “tip and rip”. This involves the theft of money and drugs by police officers whilst entering premises under the pretence of a lawful search.
Evidence was given reluctantly by a person code-named B3, who had become an informant to some of the Brentwood detectives. B3’s evidence was that he had first met officers from  Brentwood Police Station in 1996 or 1997. At the time, he owned a smash repairs workshop, which was subjected to a search for drugs by detectives from Brentwood. No drugs were found on the premises, but the detectives continued to visit B3 about once or twice a week. B3 later made an arrangement with three of the detectives that he would provide them with information about local drug dealers. In exchange, he was to receive an “even share” of drugs and money and other items that were seized by the detectives as a result of the information provided by him. The failure of the detectives to maintain their end
of the bargain eventually led to a falling out, which resulted in B3 making complaints to the IAU and to the ACC.

CASE EXAMPLE 1

Evidence was given about an occasion on which B3 told two of the officers, while they were at his workshop, that a person code-named B4 had a quantity of hydroponically grown cannabis at his home in Ferndale. B4 was subsequently arrested and charged by these
officers. B3 received an amount of cannabis and approximately $500 in cash as his reward.
Police records show that, on 30 April 1997, police seized from B4 two cannabis plants, four
feet in height, and weighing 370 grams, which were found in a lunchbox in the laundry cupboard of the house. This was significantly less than the quantity of 2.5 pounds that B4 was to claim in his evidence before the Royal Commission had been seized by the police. B4
was subsequently convicted on one charge of cultivating cannabis and one charge of possessing cannabis. He was fined a total amount of $550, which was significantly less than if he had been convicted on the total amount of cannabis that was actually seized.
The reduction in charges was a classic technique employed by detectives to forestall any complaints from the offenders in the knowledge that, were they to do so, they would make
themselves liable to increased charges and accompanying penalties. This technique has been widely commented upon by Fitzgerald (1989), Mollen (1994) and Wood (1997).
When questioned about this matter, the officers involved could not recall the incident, but they denied stealing any drugs from B4 or reducing the charges in any respect. This was to become a feature of the evidence provided by these detectives.

CASE EXAMPLE 2

B3 gave evidence telling one of the detectives about a heroin dealer in Perth, B5, who he knew to be selling a lot of heroin and he thought would be “a good hit”. B3 telephoned B5 at the detective’s instigation and arranged to purchase heroin from her. This was done in
order to ensure that B5 would be at her flat at a specific time. B3, together with two

This was done in  order to ensure that B5 would be at her flat at a specific time. B3, together with two  detectives, then drove to B5’s flat in East Perth and while they were watching, B3  purchased about 0.5 gram of heroin from B5. B3 then left the vicinity.
The next day, B3 spoke to one of the detectives, who told him it was “a good job” and that they had taken a “good whack out of it”. B3 was told that an amount of $18,000 had been taken and that his “share” was $2,000. B3’s evidence was that he had later spoken to B5, who told him that about $60,000 had been taken.
In her evidence, B5 admitted that she and a person code-named B6 were dealing in heroin and that she had money hidden in Kings Park and at other places. On the night of the police raid, she was found in possession of heroin, and she was compelled to reveal the
hiding places for her money and to take the police to those places. She said that a total of between $60,000 and $70,000 was taken by the detectives. In return, B5 was permitted to fetain an ounce of heroin that had been found in her flat. B5 estimated the value of this heroin to have been about $20,000. B5 was not charged with any offence.
B6 said that he had been arrested after he had left the flat of B5 in East Perth. He was found in possession of four grams of heroin. He was taken to Brentwood Police Station, where he was asked about B5’s money. He lied about the money, although he was aware that B5 had secreted large sums of cash in Kings Park and in other places. He was charged with possession of 0.4 gram of heroin, rather than with the actual amount of four grams, which would have attracted the presumption of an intention to supply. When released on bail the next day, he returned to the flat, and was told by B5 of the theft of her money. He
was subsequently fined the sum of $500.
The search warrant taken out for the search of the premises confirms that two of the detectives were among the officers who attended the flat of B5 that evening. The search was said by them to be part of an operation, but no running sheets for such an operation were ever located. Furthermore, there was no plausible explanation for detectives from  Brentwood conducting an operation in East Perth.

CASE EXAMPLE 3

B3 told the detectives about B7, another heroin dealer in Perth. A plan was developed whereby B3 telephoned B7 to find out where B7 was. B3 ascertained that B7 was at the Cannington TAB. He then conveyed this information to one of the detectives, who subsequently located and arrested B7, seizing a quantity of drugs, together with his wallet containing $1,600 in cash
B7 was then taken to his house in Queen’s Park, where a search was conducted, in the course of which a lawnmower was located. Despite B7 maintaining that he had purchased
the lawnmower by answering an advertisement in a newspaper, the lawnmower was seized.
Following the search of his house, B7 was taken to the Brentwood Police Station, where he was interviewed. When his wallet was eventually returned to him, it contained only $900, the detectives having kept $700 and the lawnmower. By way of exchange, they promised
not to charge B7’s girlfriend with any offence. B7 had later told B3 of the circumstances of his arrest, unaware, of course, that it had been orchestrated by B3.
B7 has stated in evidence before the Royal Commission that he had been in possession of three grams of heroin, but he was only charged with having two grams. He was fined $2,000. Police records confirm the involvement of two of the detectives, but they do not
document the seizure from B7 of $700 or of a lawnmower. B7’s girlfriend was not charged with any offence.

CASE EXAMPLE 4

B3 provided information to one of the detectives in relation to another person, B8, who he knew had a hydroponics set up at his home in Thornlie. The detective told him that they seized cannabis from B8’s residence as a result of this information, and B3 received “a
couple of ounces” of cannabis as a reward for supplying the information.
B8 gave evidence that he worked for B3 for a short period, and that B3 had visited his home and had seen him retrieve cannabis from where he kept it in a sports bag on top of a bedroom wardrobe. Some time later, three detectives had gone to his home and executed a search warrant, during which they asked him “where it [referring to the cannabis] was”, to which B8 responded that he did not have any. One of the detectives then went to his bedroom and returned with the cannabis that was stored on the top of the wardrobe. The
officer appeared to know where the cannabis was kept.
B8 estimated the cannabis to be “very good quality”, having a total value of about $1,500.
He estimated that the weight of the cannabis was 157.5 grams, divided into five bags, each individually containing 31.5 grams. B8 said that “a few grams” were left behind. B8 stated that the police officers left this as a “favour” to him. The detectives left the premises and B8 was later summoned to appear in the Fremantle Court of Petty Sessions.
B8 was charged with simple possession of a prohibited drug, notwithstanding that the possession of 100 grams or more of cannabis gives rise to the presumption of an intention to sell or supply the drug to others. The Statement of Material Facts indicated that B8 wasin possession of “approximately 100 grams of cannabis”, an amount that avoided the presumption of an intention to supply. B8 was convicted of the offence and he was fined $250.

CASE EXAMPLE 5
While he was working at B3’s workshop, B8 observed that two police officers were sttending almost on a daily basis. B8 said that B3 referred to these officers as his “copper mates”. B8 knew these officers to be detectives stationed at the Brentwood Police Station.
B8’s evidence was that, on one occasion, he observed an unmarked police car pull up in a street close to the workshop. He saw a plastic bag being passed through the car window to B3. He recognized the person in the car as a policeman. B8 said that B3 took the plastic bag
to the “smoko room”. The bag contained cannabis, which was later smoked by B8 and B3.
B3 agreed that one particular detective was a regular visitor to his workshop, and that, on numerous occasions, he had left quantities of cannabis for B3.
It was admitted by B3 that, on some occasions, he smoked cannabis with two of the detectives, and furthermore, that he had been to the Brentwood Police Station where he had seen a quantity of cannabis secreted behind several cartons of beer in the detectives’
office. He also said that he had smoked cannabis with the two detectives at the police  station.

CASE EXAMPLE 6

Royal Commission investigators made random inquiries of persons who were recorded as being charged with drug offences by the detectives from Brentwood at about the time of the foregoing events. One such person was B9, who, it transpired, had an interesting but familiar story to tell.
In January 1998, police officers in plain clothes executed a search warrant at the home of B9 in Gosnells. Another witness, B10, was present at the time.
During the search, the following were discovered:
-
 Approximately two pounds of cannabis packed in a freezer;
-
Eight to ten cannabis plants, weighing about one pound each, growing
hydroponically under lights in an upstairs room; and
-
Some “rubbish” cannabis consisting of root balls and stalks from plants
near a rear shed, that had already been harvested.

B9 described the cannabis in the freezer and the hydroponically grown plants as being of “very high grade”, known as “super skunk”. A search of the house located the cannabis in the freezer. An estimate of the value of the cannabis in the freezer was given as approximately $10,000. The cannabis was taken outside and put into the boot of an
unmarked police vehicle by one of the detectives.
B9 stated that he was upset that his “smoko” had been taken and asked whether he could have some back. B9 claimed that one of the detectives went outside and returned about five minutes later with a small bag of cannabis for him.
After the cannabis from the freezer had been seized, a number of other officers attended the premises and the hydroponically grown cannabis and “rubbish” cannabis was also seized.
B9 was later interviewed, and he was charged in relation to the 12 hydroponically grown
cannabis plants and the “rubbish” cannabis, but he was not charged in relation to the cannabis inside the freezer, and there is no record of this cannabis having been seized.
B9 stated that he did not complain about the theft of the two pounds of cannabis as he “figured it [was] an illegal substance anyway” and that he “wasn’t going to get anywhere against someone who had so much power, like the police … it’s just a criminal’s word against a police officer’s …”.

CASE EXAMPLE 7

In April 1998, B11 and B12 lived in a rented property in Walliston. Their evidence also resulted from the random inquiries of the Royal Commission investigators. During this period, B11 and B12 planted cannabis in a vegetable garden in their backyard, growing up
to three or four plants at a time. They described an occasion when two plain clothes police officers entered their home in the morning and conducted a search. B11 and B12 stated that there was a quantity of cannabis and drug paraphernalia on the premises at this time.
This included:
-
The product of four plants of cannabis hung out on a “string line” in a
spare bedroom, weighing about a pound;
-
Eight to fourteen plastic bags containing cannabis in a shoe box in B11’s
bedroom, each bag containing about one ounce of cannabis;
-
 Some cannabis in the dining room, lounge room and kitchen;
-
A cannabis plant in the back yard; and
A “bucket bong” and loose cannabis material in the laundry, including
some cannabis seeds.
B12 estimated there was over two pounds of cannabis in total. B12 stated that 90 per cent of the cannabis in the spare bedroom was “A grade”, while B11 said that the cannabis in the bags in his bedroom was of high quality.
B11 and B12 gave evidence that the cannabis in B11’s bedroom and the cannabis in the spare bedroom had been located by the detectives, with B12 recalling that one of the detectives began “grading” the cannabis, separating the high quality cannabis from the rest.
B12 observed this whilst sitting on a foam mattress in his bedroom. During this process, one of the detectives placed four or five plastic bags containing cannabis underneath the
foam mattress B12 was sitting on. The officer winked at B12 and said words to the effect of “no-one needs to know about this”.
B12 gave evidence that, in total, the officers seized: the cannabis on the string line; the cannabis from B11’s bedroom, save for four or five packets returned to B12; and the cannabis plant. The remaining cannabis and the paraphernalia were not seized. B12 said
that he had been left with about five to six ounces of “good grade cannabis”. B11 stated that, after the officers had left, B12 handed him a bag and said that it had been “left”. As the officers drove away from the premises, B12 was told he would receive a summons, but that he had “nothing to worry about”.
B12 gave evidence that the officers returned two and a half to three weeks later. He said that one detective wrote a statement and told him (B12) to “just sign it…everything will be alright”. B12 signed the statement and endorsed a plea of guilty. He was later fined $200.
B11 was not charged, notwithstanding the bags of cannabis that were located in his bedroom. Furthermore, B11 was not questioned about any of the other cannabis inside the house.

CASE EXAMPLE 8

B3 gave evidence that he had received payments from one of the detectives who had been transferred to the Crime Stoppers Unit, for information he did not provide. Crime Stoppers documentation records payments to B3 of $750 and $200, with both payments having been
approved by the detective.

..............

The six officers who were at the centre of the inquiry in this segment were serving members of WAPS at the time of the conduct examined, but due to various circumstances, they have all since left the police service. All of them were detectives, most of them being  detective sergeants, and they had links from working with each other in the past. The members of the group appeared to be well known to each other, and most shared an interest in horse racing and gambling.
The ACC/IAU operation was centred on the activities of some of the group of police officers in Kalgoorlie. The investigation utilized an informant who claimed that the police had a
quantity of drugs to sell. Evidence obtained by telephone intercepts seemed to confirm what he was saying, but eventually the operation failed to produce a result, primarily because the informant misappropriated money provided for to him to buy the drugs.
Investigators were able to identify an incident when it seemed that the police took possession of a quantity of morphine tablets from a person, code-named K1 by the Royal Commission. However, the indications later received from the Director of Public
Prosecutions (“DPP”) were that the evidence was insufficient to prosecute, although the Commissioner of Police did take the opportunity to proceed against some of the officers under s. 8 of the Police Act.
The Royal Commission investigation extended the ambit of the inquiry into allegations of similar conduct when some of the group of officers were earlier stationed at Brentwood
Police Station (which later merged into Murdoch Police Station). By the end of the investigation, Operation Solo, it is suggested, exposed corrupt conduct over a period from 1996 until 1999, when the group disintegrated following the conclusion of the ACC/IAU investigation, which led to the s. 8 action being taken against some of the officers.
The evidence produced by the investigation fell into three parts:
-
 The first part focused on allegations of police officers indulging in a practice known as “ripping”;
-
 The second part focused on allegations of trafficking in prohibited drugs;
and
-
The third part was concerned with allegations of other improper conduct
associated with corrupt relationships, which involved practices such as
“green-lighting”, “tipping off” persons regarding pending searches of their
premises, and the undertaking by police officers of unauthorized secondary employment.

NWO Project Blue Beam and HEAD OF ILLUMINATI

very interesting post. If you dont mind I have some questions and wish to further discuss this and more with you.
I understand that you may be in a position where you cant let go of your identity however please elaborate as much as possible.

To be honest, right now im a lil on the skeptic side of this however I am open to evidence and further sources.

How did you come across this information?

What involvement do you have with this?

I am sure there is a lot more that you can say (if you are in the position of knowledge you say you are), please go on....

One of the top guys in Project Blue Beam is Rupert Murdoch who owns News Corps. He is one of the highest ranking Illuminati guys there is and outranks the top Rothschild or Rockefeller or Bush members. President Obama is also involved in Blue Beam and his election was engineered by The Illuminati.
"The central hub of Blue Beam is Hollywood, CA."
- what do you mean by this? please can you add?

what technology specifically will be used?
I know of satelite, haarp, chemtrail, holographic tech. and E.L.F. neural frequencies to name a handful of factors that build towards "Bluebeam".

Is there anything else that we should know about on the subject of the technology that will be used ?

"President Obama is also involved in Blue Beam"
- I get that Obama is a puppet however what does obama specifically got to do with this? how will he be used to aid "project bluebeam".

The political leaders of tomorrow will only be stooges to this corporation.

"there will be two major ones".
- this particularly caught my eye. of course the elite will want to stick to their manipulative shananigans so I can totally see why having 2 major factions, the usual jist of historic wars , however this will be more based on the "war" of the contract, seeing the further restrictions to our "freedoms".

what companies will head these 2 "rival" mega-corps.?

what events specifically in revelations?
where will these events specifically take place?
aliens? - will it be a "staged" invasion or a two-faced welcoming ceremony of our "newly found friends"?

time travellers? - please do go on...

They are planning to just make it an entertainment thing that people buy or watch for fun like they would The Simpsons or Star Wars or The Matrix, but it will use real people as Divine Figures.
"Instead, it turns the whole world into Entertainment and the idea is just to 'market' the new world religion like you were marketing Star Wars."
- slightly confusing, in a way you are contradicting what you just said in the paragraph previously, please elaborate on this...

"They are planning to just make it an entertainment thing that people buy or watch for fun like they would The Simpsons or Star Wars or The Matrix, but it will use real people as Divine Figures"
- sorry but this is sounding a lil silly, why and what will they be getting people to buy?
how do you mean by watch? this is tricking people, which contradicts what you had just typed. im not saying your lying im just pointing out that there needs to be alot more added to this if we are to take this as a serious warning....
what divine figures do you speak of? how do you mean? and what is it that will make these regular humans seem to be "divine"?

Thats what I get from what I have researched on project bluebeam.
it is as if they wish t display a new "false reality" over this current 3rd dimension (which as many will know is currently witnessing and so to be experiencing a shift in frequency that will see our interpretation of the electro magnetic spectrum "increase" allowing us to see existence for what it really is.
anyway i can understand why the elite wish to divert us and manipulate us as much as possible in order to stop us from shifting as a collective unified consciousness.

- could you give an example of this?
im sorry but all ive seen so far from the movement of the agenda (attacks, new laws, political economic actions etc) has been nothing short of the opposite to "entertainment and comedy".

how are they going to make an "alien invasion", "revelations" "the rapture" humerous in order to divert us? while also by not tricking us? as you said was untrue of bluebeam's agenda.

by christ do you mean the "antichrist"?

who is the mother? please add more to this, this is interesting and important(in some way).

He is from New Jersey and went to Harvard.
Im sorry but you must enlighten us (or at least PM me) with who this "illuminati head" is. I can see why they would choose such an academically brainwashed individual to be the apex of there "organisation".

how will they get him into power?

where is he right now?

there is one thing that is not being taken into consideration here with this.....

dont over-estimate the gullibilty of the masses

ok there are a lot of manipulated, mislead people ut there however these are things that are very trivial compared to what you have just said.

Its hard enough as it is to wake those that have not had their eyes "opened" to the "truth" let alone get them to believe that some "real life movie comedy with aliens, trime travelling, revelation, all "promoted" and displayed by "borat" like figures doin a massive advertisement for "star wars" like events that people can "buy" like pay-per-view which penultimately ammounts to the birth and worship of a messiah baby born to a young man with an aristocratic female "...........

ok, the human race are gullible but not bloody idiots. lets give them sme credit eh.

if this is honestly the gameplan of the elite then i can safely say we have got this "revolution" in the bag boys and girls then its time to kick out the jams, bring out the booze n bongs and watch the light show unfold

look im far from ridiculing you and what you have to say and please do not take offense by it

I would, and im sure many others to, would really appreciate it if you would enlighten us further with what you have said and please answer the questions I have provided. ive kept the questions simple just now until i see signs that this is definatly legit and worth bringing forth the more "to the point" questions.

The complications that could result for those under mind control learning the truth--could be fatal. The co-authors take no responsibility for those who read or misuse this information.

The reader’s mind is like a garden. It may not be time to plant the truth in your mind. Perhaps you need some weeding or ground preparation, before the garden of your mind is ready. Perhaps the weather is too stormy to plant the truth. Pray to the Lord of the Harvest. The blessings that flow from planting the information of this book in your mind, will require the presence of living waters of love.

If you do not have love in your heart, this book is not for you.

The information contained in this book is the biggest news-story of the 20th century, and still the biggest secret. It will challenge you, shock you, horrify you and hopefully motivate you to redouble your efforts to humble yourself and seek strength from God Almighty.

INTRODUCTION by Fritz

There are many dangers to the human race, some real and some imagined. I believe that the trauma-based mind control which this book exposes is the greatest danger to the human race. It gives evil men the power to carry out any evil deed totally undetected. By the time the astute reader finishes this book, they will be as familiar with how to carry out trauma-based mind-control as some of the programmers. Ancient and more recent secrets will no longer be secrets. Over the years, I have spent thousands of hours studying the Illuminati, the Intelligence agencies of the world, and the occult world in general.

The centerpiece of these organizations is the trauma-based mind control that they carry out. Without the ability to carry out this sophisticated type of mind-control using MPD, drugs, hypnosis and electronics and other control methodologies, these organizations would fail to keep their dark evil deeds secret. When one of the mind-control programmers of the Church of Scientology, who has left Scientology, was asked about MPD, he said, "It’s the name of the game of mind control."

Research into this subject will never be complete. This book has tried to give a comprehensive view of how the programming is done. The basic techniques were developed in German, Scottish, Italian, and English Illuminati families and have been done for centuries.

Some report that some of the techniques go back to ancient Egypt and ancient Babylon to the ancient mystery religions. The Nazis are known to have studied ancient Egyptian texts in their mind control research. The records and secrets of the generational Illuminati bloodlines are very-well guarded secrets.

Even when I’ve learned about the location of secret depositories of some of the Illuminati’s secrets in Europe, America, and Asia, their records and secrets are too well-guarded to be examined. The intelligence agencies, such as MI-6 began investigating these mind-control techniques early this century, but their records have been routinely destroyed and tampered with. There are some survivors and professionals who know that the British used programmed trauma-based MPD (DID) agents in W.W. I.

In Jan., 1987, Richard Kluft submitted an article to the American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis about 8 MPD patients who were between 60 and 72 years of age. Traugott Konstantin Oesterreich (1880-1949), who was professor of philosophy at Tubingen University, Germany studied MPD and demonic possession and wrote a classic study of it in 1921 entitled Possession Demonical & Other, which was translated into english in 1930. His classic work on this subject provides documented cases which reveal that the basic trauma-based mind-control was going on in Germany, France & Belgium long before the 20th century.

Although he is unable to put together all the pieces and the clues for what they are, the reader of this book might enjoy reading the 1930 English translation of his classic work after they finish this book. Oesterreich’s research in early 1900s was the type of research that the Nazi mind-control programmers were very aware of. In 1921, the Germans such as Oesterreich would describe personality switches, by the term "somnambuliform [hypnotic states] possession" or "demonical somnambulism" or what might be called "Besessenheit von Hypnotismus und bösen Geistern."

The ability to study both the spiritual & psychological aspects of mind-control phenomena, is often lacking today. There are exceptions such as Dr. Loreda Fox’s book The Spiritual Dimensions of MPD. In the 1920s, the Germans also were aware that the human mind has a variety of ego-psycho-psysiological states rather than one unified mind, which they termed "Sub jecklose Psychologie" or the psychology of having correlated psychological states rather than the concept of a single ego. The Germans and Italians under the Nazi and Fascist governments began to do serious scientific research into trauma-based mind control. Under the auspices of the Kaiser Wilhelm Medical Institute in Berlin, Joseph Mengele conducted mind-control research on thousands of twins, and thousands of other hapless victims. Himmler supervised genetic research.

The Nazi research records were confiscated by the Allies and are still classified. A trip can be made from downtown Washington D.C. on a gray-government van which serves as a shuttle to the Suitland Annex where the government’s secrets are buried including research papers captured from the Nazi Mind-Control research.

Most of Mengele’s concentration camp research is still classified.

Much of it dealt with mind control.

A researcher can visit the top floor, but underground below the top floor are the real secrets. The real secrets are lying in millions of sheets of classified documents hidden behind blast proof doors. There they have vault after vault, and row after row of top-secret files that only a few privileged persons with security clearances above COSMIC--such as with a "C3" or "MJ" security clearance can visit.

Everyone with these high security clearances which I have identified is connected to the Illuminati. Each underground area at Suitland Annex has its own subset of secret access words, known only to the initiated. Most of the OSS records have been destroyed, a few have been left, the important ones have been misfiled or remade. (This is according to a reliable British intelligent agent.) Also according to reliable inside sources the CIA is working night and day to remake old records, to expunge all the real dirty secrets from their records.

The basement of CIA HQ is known as "the Pit," In the Pit documents are being shredded and burned on a round the clock basis. The large remains of these secrets are sold for landfill. The Illuminati have developed secrecy to a fine art. They train their people in the art of secrecy from the time they are born. Most everything they do, is done orally.

They are trained not to write rituals and other things down. There is very little paper trail left by the Illuminati.

The creation of slaves with photographic memories facilitates this secrecy. But this book is not about how they have managed to keep their trauma-based Monarch Mind-Control a secret. They have managed only to keep it a secret to the general public.

They have not been able to completely cover-up the millions of wasted lives that their programming has ruined. For many years, they were able to shut-up and quietly discard their programmed multiples by labelling them Paranoid Schizophrenics. But therapists are now correctly identifying these people as programmed multiples and are not only diagnosing them better but giving them better treatment.

After Candy Jones’s husband deprogrammed her enough that she could participate in writing a book exposing some of what had been done to her, the secret was out. (See The Control of Candy Jones Hypnotism and the CIA by Donald Bain.)

Ever since then, the intelligence agencies and the Illuminati have been carrying out damage control. Their biggest damage control campaign has enlisted the power of Hollywood and the controlled Media. This campaign is known as the False Memory Syndrome campaign, or as those of us who know the facts like to call it ""the false memory spin-drome." The headquarters of the False Memory Spin-drom Foundation is located at 3401 Market St., Suite 130, Philadelphia, PA 19104. Some of the original founders were doctors of the University of Pennslyvannia.

The inside story about these early FMS doctors of the University of Pennslyvannia is that they practiced Satanic Rituals during their work days. What is unusual about this--is that generally satanic rituals are performed at night, but these doctors did their coven work during the day. I know about these men. Now you can see why these men started the FMS! They started it to cover their own sins, because many of them were abusers themselves. In other words many of the EMS people are abusers of trauma-based mind-controlled slaves, or the victims of abuse who are in denial about their own abuse from trauma-based mind-control.

Martin T. Orn (the person credited with founding the FMS) had ties to the CIA. Two members of the EMS advisory board, Ralph Underwager, Ph.D. and theologian, along with Hollida Wakefield, M.A. let the cat out of the bag when they publicly supported pedophilia (that is adults having sex with children). Their support of pedophilia came in an interview with a Dutch magazine Paidika, The Journal of Paedophilia (Winter, 1993).

Although the False Memory Syndrome Foundation gets upset at any mention that there might be a conspiracy by the perpetrators of mind-control, because conspiracies supposedly don’t and can’t happen, they want us to believe that all therapists are conspiring together to implant false memories of abuse into their clients, which could not be further from the truth.

Monarch slaves typically run into a great deal of denial by their therapists that anything like this could be happening. The bottom line is that Multiple Personality Disorder (now refered to as Dissociative Identity Disorder) is a recognized bona fide diagnosis.

False Memory Syndrome is not a recognized medical or psychological diagnosis and does not appear in the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual III-R nor the recently released DSM-IV.

Those who followed Fritz’s writings have learned about the close working relationship between the Mondavi’s and the Rothschilds (see his article about the Mondavi/Rothschild Napa Valley winery). Guess who got the court precedence which gives the EMS some legal ground to attack therapists? The precidence was supposedly a wife who went to a doctor who told her she had syphilis.

The wife assumes she got it from her husband and divorces him. Then she learns she doesn’t have syphilis. The husband then sues the doctor. Upon this bizarre case rests the legal precedence for a third party to sue a person who gives advice, such as family members suing a therapist.

Upon this weak precidence, an abusive father who worked for Monday in a winery in California successfully destroyed a legitimate therapist who was trying to save his daughter who was a programmed Monarch victim. Supposedly the therapist had implanted false memories of rape in his daughter, when the record shows that the daughter’s mother told the therapist the girl had been raped by the father. When a valid case of SRA and repressed memories went to trial in Washington state involving a police officer whose family was MPD, Dr. Richard Ofshe of the False Memory Spindrom showed up to cause mischief. And mischief he did work. The case involved the children of a ""Christian"" police officer named Ingram who had satanically ritually abused his family for years. The daughter won in court, but Ofshe of the EMS was not above writing a book full of lies and distortions about the case.

Lynn Crook, who was the abused daughter in the case wrote up a paper exposing what EMS person Richard Ofshe did to her, The controlled media is giving full license and great coverage to the EMS people. Rather than fighting the government for scraps of declassified documents which have had their secrets marked out, and which may even be fake documents manufactured by the CIA, I have decided that there is a much better approach to expose the Monarch Mind Control to the world.

If a person could never go to Nepal, he can see pictures of it and believe it exists. If a person can not get into the top secret records of the CIA and Office of Naval Intelligence and MI6, they can be given the exact RECIPE for creating a Monarch slave. I believe that by giving the step by step recipe, people will see that A. all the ingredients are available, B. it is possible to combine the ingredients, C. all it takes is the motive to do it, and that motive is self-evident. We’ll even provide some of the names and places as we go along. This book will provide the step-by-step recipe for making a Monarch Mind-Controlled slave, It is a trauma-based mind control which programs multiple personalities using every known technique of mind-control.

Every type of mind-control technique has been combined into a group package which makes the total package almost impossible to break. It is this ability to synthesize all these methods into a group package which is so powerful.

Edward Hunter, author of Brainwashing In Red China, testified in 1958 before a U.S. Congressional House Committee on Un-American Activities: "Since man began, he has tried to influence other men or women to his way of thinking. There have always been these forms of pressure to change attitudes. We discovered in the past thirty years, a technique to influence, by clinical, hospital procedures, the thinking processes of human beings. Brainwashing is formed out of a set of different elements ... hunger, fatigue, tenseness, threats, violence, and in more intense cases...drugs and hypnotism. No one of these elements alone can be regarded as brain washing, any more than an apple can be called apple pie. Other ingredients have to be added, and a cooking process gone through. So it is with brainwashing..." Hunter said brainwashing was a Red Chinese threat. He said that the chinese were the ones using these tactics.

In reality, this mind control was being done in the U.S. and Hunter was a pawn to help justify the criminal activities of the programmers should they ever be found out behind their cover of "National security."

The handlers of mind-controlled slaves carry around a black or grey 3 ring notebook or a lap top computer with the access codes and triggers. Some of the programmers and handlers have this all memorized. The deepest parts, core/gems/executive committee, false trinity etc. are charted in esoteric language such as Enochian, Hebrew (which is considered magical), and Druid symbols. I have never gotten the opportunity to look at one of these, although a number of the slaves who I’ve talked with have while they were being programmed.

These notebooks have color-coded graphs showing the arrangement of alters, the structure of the system, the training of the alters, the history of the alters and other details. All the primary tortures carried out on a slave are coded using dates/no.s so that the memories can be pulled up by the programmers. There is a standard set of hand signals, gestures, and codes that allow a handler to work with someone else’s slave, but the accepted code among the handlers is to leave another man’s slave alone. As one leading psychiatrist put it, "Different ideologies use the same methodologies of mind control."

The Illuminati have secretly put in base programming that allows them ultimate control over many of the other groups’ slaves. This will be described within this book.

For both the ease of reading and the ease of writing, I have dispensed with most footnotes. To provide my sources would double the size of the book, and many of them are confidential. (In the past, when I have attempted crediting information, some people have gotten bruised feelings for having been passed over or for being named.

When information comes in from several sources, it becomes difficult to pass out credit.) I have made conservative judgement calls about what material I could use. Most of this information has been verified by several reliable sources. Confidential eyewitnesses are often the only source, when there is such a powerful conspiracy to keep this vast NWO mind control secret. Paper trails were not left or are not available. Programmed slaves who have worked for the military as mind-controlled slaves have witnessed their files expunged and sanitized.

The New World Order in 1981 made training films for their novice programmers. Monarch slave Cathy O’Brien was used to make both the film "How to Divide a Personality" and "How To Create a Sex Slave."

Two Huntsville porn photographers were used to help NASA and the NWO create these training films. Undoubtedly, other porn training films exist too. In others words, there is film evidence of the Monarch Total Mind-control but these porn films are kept in very secure sites. During the last few years, I have visited with ex-programmers, I have visited with hundreds of victims of the Monarch type programming. I have gone to programming sites, I have visited with therapists who work with the victims of this mind-control, and I have met several of the programmers of the CIA/Illuminati face to face in the adventures of trying to save people from their programming.

I hope that God gives me the strength and the opportunity to get the information I have learned out to the world in general. When this information gets out, hopefully it will help lift some of the secrecy of the Monarch Programming. The Monarch Programming is a foundation rock of the New World Order that when pulled up, will reveal the most evil two-legged bugs and slimy critters. When their rock is lifted, they will have to scurry to hide.

Because the authors know what the programmers do, they must honestly record several areas of programming that will be controversial.

The programmers are very much into demonology. Before therapists close their minds to this subject, the authors would like to point out, that they personally know of cases where Monarch slaves whose Christian personalities & other alters didn’t believe in demonology were talked into participating in real deliverance, and the slaves discovered much to their surprise that work they had unsuccessfully tried to do for years with their therapist was accomplished in a day or two.

Some prestigious researchers have decided the subconscious doesn’t exist because they can’t find it--its mysterious.

To the man in the street the concept "subconscious" is as mysterious as the concept "demon".

Both have been the objects of intense research by U.S./Brit./Ger. Intelligence groups. In fact, many of the concepts in this book have been purposely obscurred by the Illuminati’s control over the media and universities.

These obscurred concepts include M.P.D. (DID), recovered memories, hypnosis, demonic possession, aliens, mind-control, the subconscious, a conspiracy to bring in a NWO, truth, etc.

The smokescreens of controversy will continue; but those who love the truth, if they seek it, will realize the importance of this book. It’s on public record that MK ULTRA, the mind control research which CIA director Admiral Stansfield Turner admitted to in 1977 spent millions of dollars studing Voodoo, witchcraft, and psychics. On August 3, 1977, at a Senate hearing the then CIA director Admiral Stansfield Turner disclosed that the CIA had been conducting mind control on countless numbers of unsuspecting victims for years, without their knowledge or consent.

These CIA mind-control operations were carried out with the participation of a least 185 scientists and at least 80 American institutions, including prisons, pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, and 44 medical colleges & universities. Many of America’s most prestigious institutes of medical research, had cooperated with the CIA. as well as numerous big name corporations. Casey admitted that day that the CIA did mind-control consisting of drugs, hypnosis & electro-shock.

A few of the victims of the Monarch Project were even awarded financial compensation for their misery. But what was admitted was admitted in the spirit of covering up the extent of the full truth. The compensation was actually hush money, because victims were given "gag orders" by judges not to talk about what had happened to them. It’s been a disaster for Monarch victims that so many ministers have ignored those words of their Scripture, "For we are not ignorant of the devil’s devices." 2 COR 2:11

This book is a must for those ministers who seriously believe "Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God." 2 COR 7:1. In 2 TIM 2: 19-21, believers who "nameth the name of Christ" are asked to purge themselves of their uncleanliness ( unclean spirits). There are many top notch Christians in the churches today who are under mind-control, incl. many of the Christian leadership. I would like to remind Christian ministers that Isaiah the great prophet said, "The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning; he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned." Ignorance is not godliness. Isaiah learned to speak with the great learned men of his day, just as Paul the great apostle could speak to the learned men of his time.

One of the character traits of God is that He is all-knowing. WHO says it is godly to be ignorant? The prophet Daniel said Yahweh God "reveals the deep and secret things." (Dan. 2:22a) God’s instruments will do this revealing. Jesus’ advice to his disciples was in effect to "Be wise as serpents, and gentle as a lamb". This advice certainly applies in helping the victims of trauma-based mind-control. Paul in his letter to the Thessalonians (1 Thes 5:14) says that in effect that different people need different counseling, but they all need to be treated with patience. The first step in suggesting a cure is to find out what happened. That is what this book is about. This book is about how the Occult Network creates the problem that therapists and a few ministers try to deal with. But the keys to open doors to healthy solutions for the victims of trauma-based total mind control will reveal themselves in this book for the reader as this book reveals the nitty-gritty of how the total mind-control happens. Christ came to free the captives (Isaiah 61:1). Satanic ritual abuse has a history that is almost as old as history itself. Good King Hezekiah was a victim as a child of SRA. (2 Chr. 29) who got free. Moses confronted the satanic magic of Pharoah’s magicians who could create live snakes from sticks.

The Apostle Paul had to deal with Simon Magus, a leader of what is now known as Satanism. Solomon, one of the greatest men of faith, backslide and became one of the greatest satanists of all history. We have "no fellowship with unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them" (as per EPH 5:11). While we have no fellowship with evil, the mind-control programmers are counting on us being so ignorant of their devices that they can hide their control devices behind perversion & filth that many people shy away from. We must be strong enough to face evil and not shy away from it. The victims of mind-control must look evil in the face & not look away to gain their freedom. We, who want to help them, must be courageous & strong enough to do this too. This book is written for that divine goal "till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ." Eph. 4:13 If the body of Christ is to attain fullness, we need this book to weed out the hidden terrible cancer that is consuming the body from within.

This book is written for ministers, secular and Christian therapists, and truth lovers of all kinds.

If you love the truth this book is for you. If you see something good in the human race so that our species should be preserved as well as the spotted owl and the sand flea, then this book is for you.

IF YOU LOVE THE TRUTH, this BOOK is for YOU.
